Haute couture has found a home in France, and specifically in the French capital of Paris. Attendees of Fashion Week are drawn from throughout the world, including celebrities and fashionistas alike, every season. Paris is a top choice for those who want to pursue a profession in fashion and design. There is more to French fashion than just haute couture, as the country is home to some of the world's most talented designers. Among the most acclaimed designers are:

Born Pietro Cardin, the avant-garde designer Pierre Cardin is well renowned for his futuristic creations from the Space Age. Geometric shapes and patterns are his favorites as a designer, therefore the female form is frequently overlooked. "Bubble dresses" were his invention in 1954, and he became famous for them. For his services to mankind through his fashion lines, Cardin was awarded the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador title in 1991. " Additionally, on October 16, 2009, the UN's Food and Agriculture Organization named him as a Goodwill Ambassador for the organization (FAO).

Dior was an iconic French fashion designer and the founder of Christian Dior, one of the world's most renowned fashion houses. High-end clothes manufacturer and store Christian Voltaire Couture are the responsibility of Christian Dior S.A., his Paris-based fashion company. Haute couture, luxury ready-to-wear, menswear, and accessories are all part of this section of the House of Dior, which was established in 1947. It has about 160 shops around the world, and wants to open many more.

Fashion designer Christian Marie Marc Lacroix is a highly esteemed French fashion designer and founder of the Lacroix Group. A couture house in 1987, and a ready-to-wear line in 1988, he drew inspiration from all over the world. Jewelry, purses, shoes, eyewear, scarves, and ties are all part of the Lacroix line of products now available to the public. He opened boutiques in Paris, Arles, Aix-en-Provence, Toulouse, London, Geneva, and Japan by 1988.
